Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, the General Maintenance will have a basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and electrical functions, and the ability to follow Preventive Maintenance instructions, to perform a variety of general maintenance servicing, repair and overhaul actions related to, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and preventive maintenance, as well as inspections, data entry for opening & closing work orders on a computer workstation and handheld device, equipment and building components.
Will consult with the Facilities Manager or supervisor concerning assignments, activities, needs, or problems.
Performs general, mechanical and preventive maintenance actions as well as inspections, servicing, repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the hospital.
Performs electrical safety checks of hospital equipment e.
g.
beds, electrical receptacles, electrical appliances and patient owned appliances.
Repairs beds, carts and other wheeled equipment.
Installs, operates and tests new hospital equipment.
Upholds patient privacy and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience High school or equivalent Ability to work independently.
Read, comprehend, apply and follow PM instructions.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to interact with patients, visitors, doctors and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
Pay Range $19.
77 - $27.
19 /hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
