Summary:
The Application Support Specialist is a member of the Information Technology Department and provides end-user technical support to WestCares Intranet applications and support to WestCares Software Development Division.
Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide application support to end-users via telephone, email and ticketing system.
Function as the administrator for internal systems.
Develop an in-depth understanding of products and underlying models/methods.
Participate in end-user meetings as needed.
Contribute to the continued innovation of software by making update suggestions.
Set up customized software front-end templates.
Manage configurations of system modules.
Maintain accounts and permissions.
Train end-users.
Troubleshoot system-related issues.
Handle other all tasks as assigned by the VP of Software Development.
Assist personnel from other departments as an IT resource.
Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.
QualificationsEssential
Qualifications:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ideally be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Two (2) years of experience in a software support-related role in the social services or health care industry.
Proven knowledge and experience with computer systems, web-based applications.
Well versed in use of Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and all modern browsers.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to respond as needed to crisis situations in an efficient manner.
Interest in understanding systems design.
Desire to learn.
Ability to work independently while part of a team.
Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct and confidentiality.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Willing to seek out new work projects and contribute ideas and efforts to the constant improvement of WestCare services.
Education:
Bachelor degree required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily in a professional, office or program setting.
A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but more hours may be required from time to time.
Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours.
Regular attendance is required.
Being able to work as many hours as is necessary to complete job tasks is a required and essential duty of this position.
