The Professorial faculty shall consist of individuals who have been appointed to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
A faculty member in School of Nursing is expected to fulfill teaching, service and scholarship responsibilities.
Faculty members assume the responsibility of developing, recommending, and executing all approved policies of instruction.
A faculty member in the School of Nursing is responsible for the delivery of a portion of the curriculum for which he/she has suitable education and experience which may include oversight of students in clinical settings.
He/she will follow the curriculum as designed and collaborate with key individuals as needed.
He/she is expected to assist the University and School of Nursing in meeting academic or related committee responsibilities.
All of these duties require that the faculty member remain current in practice through Nursing Science participation in professional development activities.

Teaching1.

Responsible for all aspects of teaching for assigned courses1.

Prepare and deliver content for assigned courses.

Provide Clinical Supervision for NP students.

Coordinate clinical experiences with preceptors.

Evaluate student progress in didactic, Practicum and Clinical Intensives , lab, and clinical settings through appropriate evaluation methods1.

Participate in the ongoing curriculum review.

Complete course report forms at the end of each semester.

Prepare reports on student progress for faculty meetings3.

1.
Serve on committees within the School of Nursing (SON), Touro University Nevada (TUN) and the community at large.

Function as student advisors to assigned group of students4.

Attend graduation, school, college, and student functions as required4.

Complete student status forms when appropriate4.

Implement TUN and SON approved policies as appropriate4.
6.
Provide reports, budgetary information, and other documents, as requested by Directors and Deans4.

Scholarship5.
1.
Maintain academic and clinical expertise through scholarship activities6.
Actively engages in the advancement of the University6.
1.
Builds collaborative partnership opportunities across and among various entities participating in networking opportunities, internal and external partners, other colleges and universities, hospitals, local organizations, societies, etc.
promoting relationships with the University.

Promotes and represents the University at local, state, and national events (attending and participating in conferences, serving as a speaker/presenter, networking with colleagues to foster program development, participating in various community opportunities, etc.

Refers to and coordinates in advance with the Office of Advancement/Public Relations team on all media contacts, communications, and/or interactions to include message, promotion, etc.

Coordination in advance with the Office of Advancement on all Touro related legislative issues to include contact with the national, state, and local government officials, whether in official University capacity or with a national, state or local organization.

Serves on various committees and teams within the University as assigned (attending meetings, contributing to discussions, sharing/exchanging information, and leading constituents toward goal attainment) to include advising and mentoring (Students, clubs, campus organizations)6.

Contributes to Universitys compliance with and in the development of required documentation as related to accreditation of all programs to which departmental content is contributed.

Masters degree with a major in nursing required, Doctorate in nursing or a related field preferred
Current Registered Nurse in Nevada or eligible to obtain
Current APNRN In Nevada or eligible to obtain
APRN National Certification Required
Experience:

Two years clinical experience as an APRN
Previous education experience preferredSkills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge base in specialty area(s)
A demonstrated ability and desire to teach
Ability to work collaboratively
Strong interpersonal skills and the enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to the growth and development of the basic science department of the School of Nursing and the university

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
