Summary:
The Vice President of Procurement is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals to optimize the company's procurement processes.
The Vice President of Procurement is responsible to ensure the efficient and cost-effectiveness of the purchasing process within the organization.
This position directs the short-term and long-range strategic planning, operational management, and administrative direction of purchasing.
Key Responsibilities & Task:
Develop and execute a long-term strategy to facilitate improvements for procurement service; update procurement strategies based on changing market conditions Implement best practices in procurement and supplier management to support operational objectives Oversee the development and execution of sourcing strategies across all business units including targets, timelines and resource plans Strategize and negotiate with suppliers and external vendors in order to secure the most cost-effective terms and to reduce procurement expenses Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships Ensure the execution of procurement strategies across the company to ensure consistent and high quality value delivery Review vendor quality and maintains price controls and inventory flows to identify and implement efficient purchasing programs Develop and direct objectives, policies, and processes regarding all purchasing functions, and direct personnel engaged in purchasing Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage third-party spending and reporting across the company Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential improvement opportunities Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met Work closely with purchasing team on demand and inventory management execution Build market intelligence capabilities within the category management team on key markets, suppliers and solutions to support strategy development purposes Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, technical discipline or equivalent focus 8
years of related supply chain planning experience gained through broad and deep experience in the field Working knowledge of manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies and the ability to integrate those into the operation Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment Comprehensive understanding of ERP system process and key system functions related to demand planning, scheduling and inventory management In depth experience running S&OP processes Superior Microsoft Excel skills Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to interact comfortably and drive alignment with the executive management team Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also able to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams PI227684009 Recommended Skills Administration Analytical Category Management Communication Decision Making Demand Forecasting Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
