Description Position at The O'Connor Group The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work closely with the Board of Directors, serving as managing director of corporate operations and as the main link between the different divisions within the company.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the food manufacturing industry, possess a strong understanding of market dynamics, business processes, food safety standards, food composition, and food equipment, as well as demonstrated experience in innovating business concepts, ensuring profitability, and aggressively driving sales growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement and develop a high-performing managerial team.
Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
Enforce adherence to legal guidelines, in-house policies, and food safety standards such as SQF (Safe Quality Food) to maintain the company's legality, business ethics, and high product quality.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of food composition and familiarity with a range of food manufacturing equipment.
Generate innovative business concepts and strategies to ensure profitability and aggressive sales growth.
Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders.
Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets, industry of the company, and current food safety regulations and standards.
Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.
Create and implement operations strategies and policies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as CEO or in other managerial positions within the food manufacturing industry.
Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing a vision.
Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, general management best practices, and food safety standards like SQF.
A deep understanding of food composition and familiarity with a variety of food manufacturing equipment.
Proven ability to devise innovative business concepts, ensure profitability, and aggressively drive sales growth.
An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Master's degree in business administration or related field.
