Responsible for the technical service and/or repair of vehicles assigned by the service advisor or manager of the auto repair center.
Successfully complete automotive service and repair work qualified to preform while ensuring quality of service and repair.
Perform work according to safety guidelines.

Complete vehicle inspection form and vehicle diagnostic form and submit to service advisor.
Complete documentation of repair work completed.
Advises service advisor of change in a vehicles status.
Inspect vehicles for additional needed repairs or maintenance and recommend them to the service advisors for sale to customers.
Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work area.
Participate in ongoing training as assigned by management.
Stay abreast of changes in the industry by studying technical bulletins, industry magazines, and technical web sites.
Knowledge and Skills Accurately diagnose and successfully service and/or repair vehicles Must perform the job at a Master Technician level Education and Experience/Requirements High school or GED, required Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record Vocational/technical degree, preferred 8
years of experience diagnosing, service and repair of vehicles 8 ASE Certifications required or equivalent experience.
Candidates will be considered if their certifications have expired within the last 2 years.
Candidate will be required to re-certify in at least 2 areas at the next testing cycle as a condition of employment.
Working Environment The work is usually performed inside on concrete surfaces where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles.
Lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 50 pounds, several times a day; bending and kneeling to vacuum and clean vehicles; pushing cars several times a month; and climbing ladders to retrieve parts several times a day.
Some exposure to loud noises every day for up to 30 minutes at a time from air tools and auto repair equipment.
May occasionally travel by car to pick up parts.
