ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Develop potential business leads as well as actively pursue new business through cold calls and/or visits to local business and sales contacts.
Responsible for promoting, planning, coordinating, and supervising the execution of all event functions ensuring a top-notch guest experience.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding the monthly and annual revenue targets by generating brand-new and repeat business through referrals, telephone solicitation, direct mail, outside sales calls, networking and other community marketing techniques.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
Evaluates client needs, conduct research and makes recommendations in order to assist clients in establishing requirements for banquet and convention space needs.
Assists clients with any problems or special requests to ensure the best personal service to meet guests' needs.
Coordinates meeting or function space design with the Banquet Manager and Special Events.
Produce menu and event proposals based on the specific needs of the clients in order to ensure the profitability of each event.
Rent and coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper planning and execution of events (audio visual equipment, flowers, dance floors, tables, chairs, etc.
).
Develops implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Answers banquet/catering phone, schedules appointments for clients to inspect function site, receives confirmed contracts/deposits, prepare Banquet Event Order forms and maintain client/event files.
Record deposits, forward checks to Accounting and coordinate billing and credit approval for Catering Clients.
Coordinates daily and weekly catering meetings.
Oversees preparation of weekly Banquet Event Calendars and ensure the accuracy of such.
Distribute all Banquet Event Order forms and Banquet Event Calendars.
Update Hospitality Vice President, Director of Banquets, Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef, Banquet Manager, Room Service Manager and all other appropriate departments with detail changes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Associates degree (A.

) from an accredited college or university; or minimum of four years previous supervisory experience; or combination of education and experience combined.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Previous experience in Food & Beverage desired, but not required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs.
Excellent motivational, communication and customer service skills required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
