Tactical Defense Systems (10-08) The Tactical Defense Systems Group works on air defense issues, in particular air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of United States Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defenseIn support of these efforts, the group operates airborne and ground-based testbeds composed of state-of-the-art instrumentation and sensorsA full-time engineer with a background in RF hardware and analog circuits is needed to assist with development, deployment, and support of test hardware and to assist with field test operations
Job Description:
Active Top Secret required - TS/SCI preferred The candidate will be part of a small, flexible team that maintains, updates, upgrades, and operates several RF ground-based testbedsSpecific tasking includes developing, building, and measuring analog circuits and RF hardware, utilizing test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, etc.) to verify testbed performance, and operating command-line Linux-based testbeds during test eventsDuties will require frequent daytime local area travel, occasional overnight or weekend work, and work in austere environmentsDue to the small team size, an interest and willingness in learning new things outside of the skillset is criticalSkills required:
BS Degree in EE, physics, or a related field please note, having a BS degree is a firm requirement 2
years RF hardware and analog circuit experience 2
years RF hardware and analog circuit test equipment experience Familiarity with the Linux command line Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Skills preferred:

This isa field work position Roughly 2-3 days per week doing local travel at least 1-2 hours away Can be long days sometimes - 10-12 days They have company vehicles and they travel as team - this person wouldn't be driving the vehicle often Must haves:
