Supervises and coordinates staffing, work assignments, performance and productivity of personnel involved in reporting and processing policyholder claims and inquiries, processing premium payments, providing insurance quotes and transacting new business and policy changes, support of Customer Access and My Shelter accounts on the public website, inquiry and complaint handling activities and company switchboard.
Requirements:
Absolutely must be able to work variable work schedules. The successful candidate will work very flexible hours to include some evenings until 10:00 p.m., some weekends, some holidays, and be able to cover additional shifts as needed.
General educational background with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, including courses in English, math, general business and insurance.
Ability to acquire P&C; Producer's license in Shelter's operating territory.
Insurance knowledge acquired by attending Company training programs and suggested completion of IIA programs or related industry courses.
General knowledge of contact centers, including workforce management and techniques.
Three to five years' general insurance experience with thorough knowledge of marketing, underwriting, claims and consumer affairs.
Broad knowledge of Company operations and interdepartmental relationships.
Thorough understanding of operation and function of computer systems and multiple business applications, to include mainframe, personal computer, internet, first notice of loss, eCommerce applications, basic telephony systems, call routing and recording, workforce management and complaint tracking applications.
Superior oral and written communications, organizational, leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills to supervise, instruct, counsel, and evaluate employees and communicate with policyholders, agents and other Company personnel in all departments.
Excellent reading comprehension skills.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
