## Description
The purpose of this position is to provide transportation and customer service support for inbound and outbound functions at one of our Distribution Centers.
Resolve order and shipment issues and inquiries with external & internal sources
Generate transportation documentation and information for processing outbound shipments, shipment history, freight payment and claims
Lead and support tasks related to conducting research and analysis of outbound shipments, shipment history, freight payment and claims activities
Maintain transportation data files to ensure accurate processing of customer orders through the transportation system
Determine appropriate transportation routing needs
Serve as point of contact in interfacing with sales representatives and customers using established sales policies and practices to answer inquiries and resolve issues
Serve as point of contact for key stakeholders within the organization
Research and approve freight bill invoices submitted by carriers and brokers
Monitor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) reports and systems
Manage pended or failed orders and shipments not manifested by the transportation system
Process manual bills of lading for non-product shipments
Expedite shipments with carriers, and validate & research shipment status inquiries
Support activities to ensure routing instructions, customer preference files and accessorial charges are up to date
Monitor inbound carrier's trailer pool ensuring an adequate level of trailers are maintained for outbound shipments
Track, update, revise, generate and distribute various transportation reports, logs, and data
Perform trailer finish and release functions involving printing, auditing, and distributing required shipping documents
Maintain desk and department logs & files
Answer office phones and take messages as needed
Sort and distribute daily mail and reports
Ensure accurate and timely assignment of shipments as required
Process refused, recalled, and reconsigned shipments per procedures providing proper authorizations and notifications to all key stakeholders
Research, analyze and provide feedback & recommendations for various types of claims for inbound & outbound shipments
File and distribute claims with appropriate parties and provide POS and small package tracers as necessary
Maintain detention logs to track and report aged carrier equipment for detention charges
Maintain housekeeping standards of the facility
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules
Perform other departmental job functions as needed to accommodate changing workload requirements
## Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
High School diploma of GED
Minimum 1 year of transportation (supply chain logistics) or accounting experience
Basic math skills with good number correlation abilities
Intermediate computer skills to include proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to move throughout the facility to deliver forms and paperwork to various departments
Ability to move cartons weighing approximately 40 lbs.

Ability to access and utilize various proprietary and standard desktop computer applications
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Solid analytical and problem solving capabilities
Good time management skills with the ability to manage priorities and projects
Excellent telephone communication skills using professional etiquette
High degree of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality involving business transactions
Ability to complete assignments within required time frames that meet accuracy standards

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
