An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Responsible for setting up and breaking down various cook's stations, and filling the supply requisitions for them.
Aid all cooks by performing such duties as stirring stews and soups to prevent burning, watching roasts for temperature and time assignments, watching broiled items to prevent charring and preparing chopped vegetables for the sauce cook's preparation.
Must observe, learn, understand, and eventually perform all tasks carried out in the kitchen by the cooks.
Responsible for working in all the various phases of the kitchen operation, and gathering enough exposure to the different functions to enable himself to understand the entire house's kitchen operation.
Must maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
Must provide courteous and friendly service to all staff.
Performs related work as requested.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Experience: Previous experience preferred.
EDUCATION : N/A
SKILLS: Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers and staff. Ability to comprehend recipes and menus. Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
