Human Resource Generalist duties include, but are not limited to, providing support to the Company in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance, and policy awareness.
Human Resource Generalist Duties & Responsibilities:
Support various human resource initiatives and procedures; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
Provide employee relations support to managers/supervisors and employees to ensure complaints, performance management and corrective action procedures are handled in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner
Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding labor and employment law compliance, wage/hour laws, sexual harassment and discrimination prevention, etc.
Utilize independent judgment and best practices in conducting investigations and recommended resolutions; documents investigations as appropriate
Responsible for compiling data, reporting and analysis of investigation data and results
Proven ability to source and recruit talent
Performs other related duties as assigned
Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
Job Requirements
3-5 years of Human Resources experience; preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required
Solid knowledge of current labor laws and human resource practices
Proficiency in JD Edwards (HRIS) highly preferred
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels
Detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Customer service focused
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
