Technology Project Manager
Job Summary
The Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading medium to high complexity local, regional and/or global project types that include new product development; development changes to existing applications; compliance / security mandates; client facing implementations; IT infrastructure changes; business process re-engineering; pilots and/or proof of concepts; acquisitions; and other project types aligned with our corporate strategy.
The Technology Project Manager will be responsible for applying an industry standard project management methodology, tools and processes (PMP, OPPM, Prince2, Six Sigma) to scope, plan, analyze, initiate, execute, monitor and control projects and programs.

+ Must be able to create and maintain required project documents throughout the lifecycle of a project.
+ Must be able to identify & document dependencies, risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of a project, determine the impact of each and create a mitigation plan that is approved by the project sponsor, key stakeholders and subject matter experts participating on the project.
+ Must be able to act quickly to address problems and make decisions to solve them, these aspects of the job are vital to successful project deployment.
+ Must be able to monitor a project's progress throughout its duration, and communicate project status to senior management and staff through standard reports and presentations.
+ Must be flexible, be able to overcome obstacles (ok to escalate to the manager when necessary); listen to the sponsor and/or stakeholders-project team and outperform their expectations; be able to request the appropriate resources; keep an open line of communication to the project team; hold team accountable; prove your value by outperforming your peers.
+ Must be able to explain how in your previous experience you added value to your organization and why; best in class project managers lead companies to exceptional performance.
+ The ideal candidate will be familiar with technology specific to the travel industry (e.g. front office, mid office and back office).
+ Associate's Degree (A.A.), significant progress towards the degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Project Management and Information Technology
+ Aptitude to prioritize and load balance sensitive projects concurrently
+ Strong organizational, time management, decision making, and problem solving skills
+ Strong initiative and self-motivated professional
+ Professional certifications a plus
+ 3 years of relevant general Information Technology experience
+ 5 years of relevant experience successfully delivering projects using an industry standard methodology
+ 1 year of relevant general Information Security experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
