Provide radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design. Design, plan and oversee installation and maintenance of wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition, and ancillary equipment. Duties include: LTE/ CDMA/ EVDO optimization of Sprint network in Las Vegas market; collaborate with Sprint Las Vegas Market initiatives to enhance market Sales growth and provide proper services to key customers; reduce Market Churn and increase LTE tonnage; handle escalation and managing customer complaints; perform worst offender analysis, new trials of parameters and drive testing based on requirement; assist Sprint national in parameter trials; provide RF engineering for special events occurring in Las Vegas; design or maintain post processing tools to optimize the sites and improve them on daily basis; perform RF Parameter audits and alignment for all the sites in the market including CDMA/ EVDO/ LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD technologies; physical optimizing of new LTE sites and perform PCI plot check for Interference; troubleshoot for LTE worst KPI, using Alcatel Lucent tools NPO, SAMB, Cockpit; monitor daily and hourly statistics to identify cells that are performing badly and contributing towards the KPIâ€™s degradation and resolve the issue; handle optimization of new sites and problems including RAB Speech drop, interference, IRAT handover failure, handover reversion, in-building problem, antenna tilting, and competitive Drive Test. Comply with Sprint's Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field and five years related work experience. Related experience must include: Multi band LTE traffic management techniques; OFDMA air interface for TDD and FDD; 3G Networks and infrastructure; OEM RAN specific experience with Nokia (ALU) & Ericsson; Detailed Layer 3 Drive test data analysis to drive network optimization and performance improvement; RF Propagation Model Tuning including measurement integration; Microwave Path Modeling concepts. Detailed knowledge with Mapinfo, Planet and Atoll, XCAL XCAP or Windcatcher. Strong communication and presentation skills.
