Data Virtualization - Software Engineer
The Data Virtualization specialist is responsible for the development of the data analysis and modeling activities to support our Data Virtualization environment. This role will be responsible for understanding the data requirements, security requirements, metadata, design, development and test activities to successfully implement and support the virtual models in the data virtualization environment.
This role requires a strong SQL/T-SQL knowledge as well as several years of data modeling background with large scale systems (i.e Data Warehousing, Data Virtualization). This role will also need the ability to apply data governance policies to the virtual models and data virtualization environment. Prior experience with a data virtualization tool is also required (i.e Denodo, Redhat/JBoss, Cisco, etc).

+ Support enforcement of security and access control measurements to safeguard database authentication and authorization infrastructure
+ Develop and maintain relationships with key business and technology partners
+ Participate in production on-call rotation, where required.
+ Ensure all code changes are managed according to the company best practices.
+ Work closely with business analysis and application owners to review and detail project requirements and design.
+ Identify opportunities for improvement; innovate.
+ Hands on experience with Data Virtualization technology (RedHat/JBoss, Cisco, Denodo, others)
+ Experience with middleware for data integration (e.g. JBoss DV, TEIID)
+ Exposure to Hadoop (e.g. Hortonworks, MapR, Cloudera)Must have 5+ years of data design/development experience (data modeling, analysis)
+ Must have prior data integration experience; ETL, EII, etc.
+ Experience with data modeling (able to read and support an ERD)
+ Experience with data governance processes
+ Advanced knowledge of technical concepts, such as: logical and physical data modeling, performance tuning, code reviews process, data normalization processes, data integration methods, Agile SDLC, production support, etc.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience working with various data management systems, physical database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and support.
+ Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL database tools; SQL Server 2008 or newer.
+ Stays abreast of emerging technology and integration into operational best practices.
+ Software Development Experience - 3+ Years (Java)
+ Data Virtualization tools - 1+ years (Denodo, Cisco, RedHat/JBoss)
+ SQL Server 2008 or newer - 5+ years
+ Data Analysis - 5+ years (technical data analysis)
+ Data Modeling - 1+ years
+ Demonstrate experience creating and maintaining Conceptual, Logical and Physical models
+ Demonstrate experience with normalization and integration methods/techniques
+ Demonstrate knowledge of master and reference data domains
+ Modeling tools - SAP PowerDesigner preferred
+ Metadata documentation - SAP Information Steward preferred
+ Experience using tools such as RedGate, Atlassian (Jira), Wiki, Visual Studio, TFS, PragmaticWorks, Power Designer, Tortoise/SVN

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
