About Customer Delivery
Customer Delivery, a business unit in the Operations and Technology organization, supports the execution of acquisition and existing customer programs for BCUS. This includes:
New acquisition marketing campaigns
TSYS development activities
Desktop/IVR enhancements to support customer servicing
Credit risk strategy development
Project Management
New system enhancement builds
Governance/Control
This team oversees all implementation and new functionality for supporting new and existing customers. They also provide direct oversight and implementation activities of operational business processes and policies.
About Retail Risk System
Retail Risk Systems is accountable for a substantial portion of the decisioning environments across Barclaycard Consumer Europe (UK Cards; UK Partnerships; Germany; UKSL), Barclaycard Global Business Solutions (Commercial Cards; Payment Acceptance; BPF), PCB (Mortgages; Loans; Consumer Lending; Business Banking) and Barclaycard US (Acquisitions; Customer Management)
Overall purpose of role
This role is accountable for translating business needs into developmental requirements for Transact, SDS and PROBE. Working with system leads, Business Partners and 3rd party venders to ensure appropriate integration and testing into Credit Risk systems. Typically involving changes to; scorecards and rules, strategies, data interfaces and also to specialist systems designed, developed and maintained within the team.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
Key specific accountabilities.
Implement changes to rules and scores through on-line and off-line decisioning engines such as; Strategy Manager, Blaze, TRIAD, SAS.
Ensure accuracy in delivery and work with RRS developers and testers along with CRO business partners to ensure that success.
Works with the leadership team to design, document and develop the solution.
Work with internal & external systems owners to support incident management & deliver systems improvements.
Ensure technical and user documentation is kept up to date with latest changes.
Support the build team & review approach ensuring they meet requirements before sign off.
Produce and procure sign-off for Business Requirements Specifications after completing an assessment of business requirements against current systems functionality
Provide ad hoc business and systems analysis and summaries to support information sharing across the organization as required.
Manage relationships with Business stakeholders, reporting variances to plan and agreeing remedial actions to recover.
Create and agree work schedules with Change Teams & RRS Portfolio Managers.
Stakeholder management and leadership.
Work with stakeholders in defining success criteria to achieve the optimal trade-off between short-term considerations (implementation quality, speed and cost) and longer-term considerations (performance, scalability, maintainability, re-usability)
Challenge business requirements from stakeholders to achieve faster, better and cheaper solutions, and to add value where appropriate.
Work with internal & external systems owners to support incident management & deliver systems improvements.
Ensure technical and user documentation is kept up to date with latest changes.
Support the build team & review approach ensuring they meet requirements before sign off.

Challenge business requirements from stakeholders to achieve faster, better and cheaper solutions, and to add value where appropriate.
By exception, occasionally urgent business requirements will arise that need immediate attention, potentially outside normal business hours. Although overtime is addressable on an in lieu basis, the ideal candidate will be flexible enough to accommodate this when required
Should have capabilities for identifying gaps in process and programs.
Proactively identifying remediation and contingency plans for issues and defects.
Should have the ability and aptitude to identify testing opportunities, defect tracking and test documentation.

Your Skills and Qualifications will include
Basic Qualifications
4-year college degree required
2 years of experience in financial services
Preferred Qualifications
Primary
Programming languages: Such as SAS, Visual Basic for writing macros in Excel
Technically proficient in all elements of Microsoft Office.
Mainframe experience (for Customer Management Testing roles).
Experience in:
Project management / scheduling
Business Analysis
Working as a member of multi-disciplinary project teams
Decent knowledge of credit industry practice relating to; Risk Management policies, lending strategies, credit scoring and application processing
Good knowledge of industry best practice across the Design, Development, Testing and implementation lifecycle
Understanding the principles and functions of decisioning engines
Keen commercial appreciation; able to understand the commercial implications of the solution and interpret between systems and business requirements
Working within a business commercial function; the role holder must be able to think and communicate commercially (e.g., don't communicate technical content, communicate what the end user will get, in what timescales, at what cost, and with what confidence level)
Deep understanding of credit risk strategy execution.
Can manage their own time effectively (and that of others) and deliver accurately within tight timescales; has demonstrated the ability to reprioritize and delegate effectively when demands on the team require this.
Is comfortable engaging and influencing at all levels of seniority; can develop effective relationships with stakeholders in order to get results.
Ability to identify/recognize problems applying risk assessment tools and techniques and make recommendations for their resolution.
Sound level of numerical and analytical ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to deliver feedback effectively and express thoughts concisely.
Secondary
Exposure to managing offshore resources
Familiarity with Decision Systems (SDS, PROBE, TRIAD, Blaze, Strategy Manager, Paris)
Good solid commercial experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
