Systems Engineer I
Job Responsibilities - Provide first level administration and maintenance support of production servers running RedHat, CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu, Window Server in a 24/7 environment.
Primary functions are to coordinate and execute tasks/assignments such as:
Answer the Support phone line.
Responsibility to acknowledge, react, and remedy nagios alerts on the board. If there are alerts up on the board, identify why and resolve or downtime where appropriate.
Monitor service requests as they come in to ensure timely responses. Ensure that our SLA (30) minutes commitment is met.
Provide administration and maintenance of production servers running RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Windows Server 2008 and 2012
Backup, administer, and troubleshoot SQL Server 2008 and 2012 and mySQL.
Support a variety of software solutions including, IIS, Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, Active Directory, Apache, PHP, MySQL, and Varnish to name a few.
Responsible for documentation. Shift Managers are responsible for coordinating with the Tech Writing staff to improve documentation
Some of the daily responsibilities for this position include:

This position requires 3 years of experience maintaining both systems and hardware in Linux Server/Windows Server environments.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and supporting a broad range of customers are also required.
There is no travel or on call required.
