MDM Specialist, Supply Chain

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: The Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist role will be responsible for implementation and execute the strategy and processes as it relates to Barrick's Supply Chain Master Data ensuring their accomplishment with standards are defined. The role will work closely with the Site and Global business function leads and will be a key success factor in improving the processes and data quality.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
Ensure accomplishment of the Supply Global Item Master Standard ? Master Data Management (MDM).
Plan and execute data cleansing, standardization and enrichment projects for the Supply Chain Master Data and related data objects.
Plan and execute the global processes and controls to create and maintain the Global Item Master.
Work with SCM and non-SCM functions to define/maintain data standards, taxonomies and governance processes
Execute Master Data Management processes and techniques to ensure data is reviewed, complete, accurate and maintained
Global operational responsible of Item Catalogue and related data, systems and tools.
Continually perform gap analysis of data against current business process and identify & implement opportunities for data and process improvement
Provide support to develop and maintain the data management strategy and roadmap, with a vision to moving towards a consolidated data structure and system
Provide interpretation, guidance and training of cataloguing policies, practices and technical standards
Maintain working knowledge of master data management processes and supporting technologies with participation on system selection/design
Execute data cleansing, standardization and enrichment projects
Support data conversion and system transfer projects
Work with business and system function leads to identify issues, opportunities and solutions at all levels of the organization
Track the success of improvement initiatives and provide visibility of results
Provide advice on Supply Chain item master, data taxonomy and participate in implementation projects
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
4-6 years of supply chain management experience, ideally in cataloguing processes & standards for mining
Bachelor's degree in management, statistics, information science or similar.
Proven ability to work with Managers and operational personnel to measure business performance, identify opportunities/solutions and track performance
ERP system experience (Oracle E-Business Suite and SC modules preferred)
Good data management and analytical skills & technologies (MS Excel and Oracle SQL preferred)
Apply tools and techniques to extract and analyze and load large data sets
Working knowledge of supply chain data structures and categorization approaches to support business processes and improvement initiatives
Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams within a geographically dispersed centrally managed organization
Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels of the organization is essential with dual English/Spanish proficiency highly desirable.
Formal qualifications and certifications in supply chain management or associated discipline desirable.
Other factors that will be considered are employee performance, length of service, and work history.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
