Valet Transportation Shift Manager

Your daily responsibilities include:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Assist in hiring, training, motivating, supervising, evaluating, and disciplining valet, bell and transportation staff.
Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
Supervises and executes policies and procedures to assure efficient and effective Valet, Bell Desk and Transportation Operations positively impact guest services.
Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
Responsible for ensuring department has all necessary tools to complete tasks and that all equipment is in working order.
Distributes work assignments to Valet, Bell Desk and Transportation team members on applicable shift.
Responsible for the operation of the Valet, Bell Desk and Transportation departments on applicable shift.
Responsible for high level of quality service standards in all Valet/Transportation departments on applicable shift.
Protects and preserves assets of the company.
Handles all guest complaints on applicable shift efficiently and reports problems to manager.
Supervises Valet, Bell Desk and Transportation team members to ensure efficient and effective operations positively impact customer service.
Ensures all Valet, Bell Desk, and Transportation functions meet established standards on applicable shift.
Maintains company fleet of vehicles to the standard of safety, cleanliness, and reliability as set forth by the department, company and legal regulations to ensure reflection of proper company image, minimize vehicle breakdowns and maximize passenger safety.
Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards are followed.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for staff development and training programs.
Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous leadership experience required.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must have the ability to operate a manual and automatic transmission automobile.
Must be able to physical perform job duties of Valet/Transportation team members, when emergencies arise.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
