What is the project(s) name?
Mortgage Loan Accounting, Account Reconciliations, Intercompany Accounting, and Accounts Payable
What are the key objectives for this resource (project summary)?
To provide timely and accurate accounting specific to loan, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions.
List the position Requirements:
1. Loan Accounting and Reporting
a. Subject matter expert (SME) for loan accounting and related reconciliation
b. Subject matter expert (SME) for TMCC loan participation accounting and related reconciliation, provide monthly loan participation reports to TMCC for recording in TMCC's general ledger
c. Performs daily loan accounting reconciliation to ensure that all loan transactions from Cenlar, external vendor, are recorded in PeopleSoft
d. Perform analyses for loan related accounts to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of the balances
e. Records daily cash settlement from Cenlar and reconcile payments with the appropriate bank accounts
f. Records all loan-in-process transactions and ensure that loans in process are boarded in the Cenlar system in a timely manner
g. Monitors the proper recording of FAS91 costs/fees and accuracy of related balances; and works with Cenlar and/or LenderLive to ensure that FAS91 data is loaded correctly onto the Cenlar system & G/L
h. Ensure the balances for all loan related accounts (such as but not limited to OREO, ALLL) are accurate
i. Prepare all monthly reporting for dealer banking loans sold and participated to TMCC
j. Prepare monthly journal entries for intercompany loan participation remittance
k. Coordinates annual SOX audits with Internal Audit with respect to loans
l. Participates in operation audits of business partners (i.e. Cenlar, LenderLive)
m. Loan reporting
2. Accounting and Period End Close
a. Perform accounting accruals and adjustments according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (""GAAP"")
b. Prepares and records journal entries and account reconciliations for employee related and various intercompany accounts
c. Prepared certain journal entries and account reconciliations
3. Other Projects
a. Maintain effective internal controls over assign tasks/responsibilities
b. Prepares internal and external audit requests
a. Writes accounting policies/procedures
b. Prepares supporting schedules for Call Report, iFEM, annual audited financial statements, and other internal/external reports
c. Performs financial analysis and prepares ad hoc reports
d. Participates/leads other special projects (i.e. Kaizen, system implementation, new transactions, new US GAAP guidance adoption)
Must Haves:
The candidate should have 3+ years of accounting and finance experience, and a strong understanding of accounting concepts and internal controls. The candidate should possess strong analytical and creative skills, be able to work within a regulated environment, and work well with others.
Strong accounting and finance knowledge and highly proficient in MS Word, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), Access and Power Point.
Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
Knowledge of the Client system and culture is also beneficial.
Knowledge of the financial and/or banking industry.
Peoplesoft and/or Hyperion Essbase experience highly preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
