Ferguson is currently seeking to fill an Outside Sales Commercial/Mechanical position in our Henderson, NV location . If you are motivated, self-driven and can provide great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion dollar organization, this is the position for you!
The Sales job family merchandises, promotes and sells the company's products and services to customers. General areas of responsibility include developing and implementing sales strategies; identifying potential customers; managing existing customer and vendor relationships; and monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends. Positions in outside sales are responsible for selling the organization's products or services to new business customers.
Job Duties:
Proactively develop and maintain relationships with an assigned customer base, including key accounts, insuring their satisfaction with our products and services at all times.
Visit prospective buyers to show samples or catalogs, and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.
Research and identify potential customers for products or services.
Monitor customer needs and preferences to determine focus of proactive sales efforts.
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products and services, and to provide sales support.
Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
Determine pricing and discount rates.
Complete sales transactions and assist customers with product information, delivery, and other services.
Travel regularly within a defined area to include overnight travel as needed.
Qualifications:
Two years of experience is preferred to perform at expectation. Applies broad job knowledge of own job area or basic job knowledge across multiple job areas.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally.
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups.
Ability to efficiently operate computer, tablets and mobile devices.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Ability to effectively utilize FEI's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie)
Ability to effectively utilize FEI's customer relationship management system.
