Marketing Analyst

Overview.Your daily responsibilities include
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Serves as a Marketing resource while utilizing the company's CRM application Aprimo, providing backup support for campaign development as required.
Utilizes Cognos business intelligence reporting tool and SQL to construct marketing performance analytics as required.
Prepares analysis for measuring marketing performance across the property including areas of: Database Marketing, Player loyalty program, Promotions, Hotel offers, F&B, Internet/Social media participation, Non-Gaming engagement and all other areas of patron interaction.
Coordinates analytical efforts with Director of Database Marketing and the direct reports to help identify effectiveness of property database marketing initiatives and measurement of campaign performance results.
Analyzes internal and competitive market positions.
Performs special studies as requested including data mining and stratifications
Analyzes data and prepares statistically sound projections of revenue, expenses, and return on investment incorporating variable projects, promotions, activities, or business changes.
Queries databases for counts and lists of records based on specified criteria.
Compiles website analytics and performance reports on digital/social media campaigns.
Generates pro forma P & L's for all Marketing campaigns.
Generates customized Guru reports based on ad hoc requests from Marketing department
Assists in the development and coordination of marketing research activities for the properties and the Corporate enterprise including both qualitative and quantitative research programs.
Assists in structuring of presentations for budget meetings and operational reviews.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology or related area; two or more years of direct use experience with business intelligence querying software and database analytics such as customer segmentation, test and control methods, pro/post forma analysis and traditional analytical methods to achieve required ROI. Experience working in a marketing or analytical function within the gaming industry is preferred, but not required.
Must have a working knowledge of Cognos or other business intelligence software programs; experience with Aprimo or other CRM platforms is advantageous.
Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
Must have advanced experience with regional databases.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must have demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under short time constraints.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
