Follow the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) standards. Facilitate environmental compliance during construction. Assist with complying with all environmental regulations and recommendations as imposed by the project specific environmental permits and directions.
Liaise between the contractor’s construction crews, construction monitors (biological, cultural, contractor, as either an employee or a subcontractor. Facilitate communication between the construction crews and the construction monitors.
Monitor where crews are working and communicating the work locations with the biological, cultural, paleontological and SWPPP monitors so that the necessary oversight and guidance is provided.
Coordinate with the crews to ensure that no out-of-scope work is started until the environmental clearance is issued by either the biological monitor or other pertinent public agencies and stakeholders.
Assist Project Management in managing the flow of assigned projects from start to finish.
Track basic job status – schedule, completions, and conflicts.
