Production/distribution/quality assurance

Robotic Welder at KMI (2 years) Responsibilities I proudly made quality metal car parts for Honda. I was responsible for starting my machines & checking for any water leaks, air leaks, damaged hoses, anything that could be wrong with them right after our shift meeting. I would run multiple lines throughout my 8-10 hour shift, so I am fine with standing & working for long periods of time. I preformed my own manual robotic tip changes, nut welder tip changes, kept nut bowls stocked & regularly did maintenance on my machines. I was a "floater" & was chosen to continuously moved around & be put on different lines that were behind on orders to meet quota for the day & to get shipments out on time, therefore leading me to know how to run most of the 100 plus lines at the factory. I was expected to work with little to no supervision & still produce as many quality parts as possible. I was responsible for visually & marker inspecting every part for damage, off-set welds, stamping mistakes & overall quality before placing them in the proper baskets for shipping. A big part of my duties included paper work, keeping track of how many parts were produced, any downtime I had, if I ran another line through break & filling out lot tags for shipping or receiving baskets of parts, either inside the factory or being sent to a sister factory. Some days I was sent to the resort area to quality check massive amounts of baskets of suspect parts before satisfactorily shipping them. It was very loud there & we were required to wear PPE. I was never late, never had an unexcused absence & was never hurt on the job. I am a team player & a self-starter Accomplishments I beat quota most times to get lines ahead & even stayed over to finish orders. I set small goals throughout the day & reached them to ensure the most product was produced daily. Every 3 months for my employee evaluation I got outstanding scores. I was the only person left out of my orientation group of 20 still employed. I strived everyday to be the best. I was offered free employee meals & got many verbal above satisfactory compliments throughout my 2 years at this job Skills Used I used hand tools such as torque wrenches, electric sanders, wrenches, hammers & others. I learned how to maintain my robots & how to fix them or the computers if they went down Education I received my GED from Elida High School in 2000. I also attended The Ohio State University for a short time.
