Vehicle Description 1972 was a strike year for Pontiac Firebirds and Camaros.
In fact, over 1,000 Firebirds and Camaros that were on the manufacturing line at the General Motors plant in Ohio were scrapped due to the labor strike that lasted 172 days.
So, the production numbers on the Firebird and the Camaro were very low in 1972 making this a very rare car indeed.
This beautiful Firebird received a full rotisserie restoration over the last 2 years.
The car is originally from New Mexico and has not left the southern States.
Only 500 miles on this fabulous resto-mod.
The car was repainted Soul Red and has all the original trim including the rear bumper guards.
Upgrades include dual electric fans, larger Ron Davis radiator, Holley Sniper EFI, Upgraded HEI ignition, RAM Air exhaust headers and functional RAM air intake system, 2.
5 exhaust pipes by Pypes.
High output alternator, high output water pump.
The original Pontiac 400ci engine (numbers matching) was rebuilt and the transmission is a TKO 600 5 speed.
The rear axel has been rebuilt with a 3.

New fuel system (including tank, fuel lines, etc), all new brake system including master cylinders and brake lines.
Disc front and heavy-duty drum in rear.
Suspension is upgraded with subframe connectors, solid body bushings and Delrin suspension bushings and springs.
Wheels are 17x9 Honeycomb replicas with Nitto tires.
Interior has upgraded power windows, passenger and rear windows are imbedded tint, interior upholstery, carpet, door panels, headliner are all new and the dash was restored by Just Dashes out of CA.
RetroSound stereo system and Dakota Digital HDX gages, Vintage Air, Power Steering (upgraded steering box PSC 601 and new steering links), Power Brakes, power windows, and LED headlights.
