ONLY 386 OF THESE CARS EVER PRODUCED.
If you are a Chrysler fan, this rare New Yorker 5th Ave is for you.
In 1980, only 3,608 carried the 5th Ave name and out of them only 386 had the special 5th Ave package which included a Landau roof.
This car is Black Walnut metallic which was only offered in 1980.
The trim included a simulated alligator grained padded landau vinyl roof in matching Black Walnut with gold accent body side stripes while the interior color remained Champagne Leather.
This car was purchased in August of 2022 and received a comprehensive update and restoration of all items that were needing attention due to time.
The completely new interior, with full leather seats, also includes new headliner, pillars, carpets, seats, and doors.
Brand new correct wide white tires were sourced from Coker Tire along with a full brake service, fuel injection rebuild and complete tune up.
Also, valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gasket, water pump, A/C rebuild, new belts and hoses, radiator flush and new battery.
Realizing that they needed to offer a comparable luxury sedan to the Cadillac Fleetwood and Lincoln Town Car, Chrysler offered the Fifth Avenue trim package as an option on the R-body New Yorker.
